Driving takes up a ton of our time. According to the AAA Foundation for traffic security: "Drivers, on average, make two driving trips per day, which take an average of 46 minutes." (1) This means that over the course of a year, drivers spend on average 279 hours, or over 11 whole days a year, driving. If the old adage "time is money" really is true, then driving truly is an expensive thing. Over the next few years, it is likely that for some, that time will become more accessible. The current research and testing on self-driving cars will have repercussions for the way our world operates. Communication is one of those areas. While being in a self-driving car will not eliminate drive distances, it will free up that time for the drivers. They will not be able to anything they might want as they will still be stuck in the car. But, communication can happen anywhere. 11 whole days of freed up time is something that a lot of Americans wish they had. A lot of Americans...

Looks good! But I think you could focus more on how food-delivery does better, instead how many people or what kinds of people use food-delivery.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of really good information on your info-graphic. I like your use of charts and statistics. I notice your color theme is not as consistent throughout as I would like it to be. I also think you could simply have less information and still be very informative. All in all I think you did a fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteI think you guys did a good job collecting information for your infographic. I agree with what Emily said when she said you could have used less information and still gotten your point across, but regardless, there is a lot of great info, and the organization of the entire graphic was great. Good job!
ReplyDeleteGood information. I like the colors and I think the idea of the cityscape at the bottom is a nice connection with where people live and order food most frequently. Every portion of the graphic is clear. It can be easy to forget your audience might not have the context you do and communicate something in an ineffective way, but you guys didn't do that.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I saw it I thought the box in the bottom left about popular delivery times was a pop-up covering it up and I thought it would have to be moved or closed. For some reason to my eye it just looks like it's sitting over the graphic and not part of it. Maybe it's just the colors. I thought putting that graph just over the building background might work well.
I like the color contrast, and it appears to have lots of good information about food delivery. I do feel that there was a lot of reading for an info graphic. Consider putting more charts in to convey the same information.
ReplyDeleteYou guys did a really good job on the layout of this! The color scheme looks really good and I like all of the information that is included in the infographic. Overall great job!
ReplyDeleteI like how you included a large amount of information on a small size sheet. The history was particularly interesting and was an interesting gander. I like your color scheme and use of gradients and background images.
ReplyDeleteI love how diverse this infographic is. Even though it is diverse, it still stays on topic the whole time. I also really liked the delivery statistics that were shared. Food delivery is up and coming so I really love that you included that. My only suggestions would be to keep the color scheme going throughout (the graph in the bottom left doesn't really match) and I'd also change the background of the bottom just for aesthetic reasons, but I understand why it's there! Looks super great.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this infographic did well in conveying a lot of information. My only critiques have to do with the design layout of the piece. I expressed in class how I feel the shape of Utah should be filled in with a light blue or orange to balance out the third line. Also The graphic of the city should be moved in a way in which easily shows which city it pictures. Also the text is a bit difficult to read so increasing the font size or changing the color could be helpful.
ReplyDeleteThe infographic looks good. Lots of fun graphics and many good colors. It is a little more wordy than I like though. I think sometimes with infographics more is less. There are some really good graphics and information, but there is almost too much. Overall it has some useful info and is well thought out.
ReplyDeleteVery well done. The executive summary was precise and easy to read, giving just enough background for an executive to care.
ReplyDeleteSolid info-graphic! I would like to see a cleaner layout, but that's just personal preference. I would translate colors from the design to the table. But overall, I like the design, and it's fairly easy to read.
